1:19Now PlayingA tornado formed beneath a violent supercell thunderstorm near Verzeille, south of Carcassonne, on August 24, as severe weather swept through France’s Aude department. Local reports said the tornado struck near Pomas around 5 p.m., injuring at least 26 people and leaving about 2,800 households without power. The storm also damaged or partially destroyed homes and uprooted trees and vegetation.
