as posted by the channelՀայաստանի 4-րդ նախագահ ընտրվեց միակ թեկնածու Արմեն Սարգսյանը: Նոր Սահմանադրության համաձայն՝ առաջին անգամ հանրապետության նախագահն ընտրվեց Ազգային Ժողովի կողմից, փակ գաղտնի քվեարկությամբ: Քվեարկությանը մասնակցել է Ազգային Ժողովի 105 պատգամավորներից 101-ը. Արմեն Սարգսյանի օգտին քվեարկել է 90 պատգամավոր, դեմ՝ 10-ը, 1 քվեարթերթիկ անվավեր է ճանաչվել: Հատկանշական է, որ իշխող կոալիցիայի թեկնածուին դեմ քվեարկելու մասին հայտարարել էր միայն ընդդիմադիր «Ելք»-ը, իսկ «Ծառուկյան» դաշինքը որոշել էր ամբողջ խմբակցությամբ կողմ քվեարկել: Սակայն այսօր քվեարկությանը մասնակցել է «Ելք»-ի 9 պատգամավորներից միայն 7-ը: Ովքե՞ր են դեմ քվեարկած մյուս 3 պատգամավորները՝ առայժմ հայտնի չէ:
