ARMENIAN 3RD PRESIDENT CHARGED

Armenian third president Serzh Sargsyan was charged Wednesday with committing a publicly dangerous act, SIS reported.

According to the source, he, holding the position of President of Armenia between April 9, 2008 and April 9, 2018, misused his official position, and in the period between January 25, 2013 and February 7, 2013, organized confiscation of a sum in particularly large amounts (AMD 489,160,310) through squander from the State by a group of persons.

ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RECOGNITION

By the way, after the statement, the Lithuanian Ambassador to Turkey was summoned by Ankara.

According to the Lithuanian MFA, no note was handed out during the meeting.

G. Nauseda told reporters in London that he did not believe that his statement would affect bilateral relations or Turkey’s position on NATO’s defense plans of the Baltic countries and Poland.

AZERBAIJANI STATEMENT ON KARABAKH CONFLICT

Azerbaijan distributed Wednesdaya document containing its position on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

The document posted on Twitter account of Azerbaijani embassy in Vienna was distributed at the OSCE ahead of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava.

“Azerbaijan adheres to the step-by-step approach in the settlement of the conflict, which is premised on the U.N. Security Council resolutions and the OSCE decisions, in particular the Budapest Summit decision of 1994,” the statement said particularly.

VARDANYAN TO BE RELEASED

The arrest of Ara Vardanyan, former Executive director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, has been commuted today, Vardanyan’s lawyer Lusine Sahakyan told to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

MAN DIES FALLING FROM YEREVAN BUILDING

A young man has died after falling from a building under construction in Yerevan.
