· Armenia has already confirmed 122 coronavirus cases in Armenia.
According to Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan, the new seven cases are connected with the sewing factory.
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan has outlined the steps they are planning to take at this stage of the crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We will launch a package of approximately AMD 25 billion in support to the businesses; we will have another AMD 25 billion of social aid package ready to be used as needed," he said. "Thirdly, we will have a fund of about AMD 80 billion aimed at reshaping and adjusting the economy under the parameters of the post-crisis times.
Meanwhile, Armenian MFA has issued a statement and urged all citizens wishing to return from Russia to Armenia to use air routes exclusively.
· There are over 225,000 coronavirus cases worldwide, the death toll has reached over 9,200. And over 85,000 people have already recovered.
The death toll in China over the past day has increased by eight people, the number of infected - by 34, another 819 people have recovered.
By the way, none of the new cases confirmed in the city of Wuhan - the epicenter of the epidemic in the country.
· Angelina, 4.5, who had undergone complex heart surgery at a medical center in Yerevan a few days ago, died Thursday, the medical center's press service reported.
The surgery was performed by renowned cardio-surgeon Hrayr Hovakimyan, as well as Gagik Heboyan and his colleagues.
The surgery had cost $100,000, 70% of that amount was collected within two days, and the remaining 30% was paid from the state budget.
· Acting director of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) Eduard Martirosyan will be appointed NSS chief, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Shant television.
Acting police chief Arman Sargsyan will be appointed the chief of Armenia’s police.
· The Eurovision 2020 has been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“It is with deep regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam,” the official statement reads.
Armenia this year should have been represented by Athena Manoukian with the song “Chains on you”.
