UKRAINE
The situation in Ukraine remains tense amid fears over Russian invasions.
Several sources, including Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Russia will invade Ukraine on February 16.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree according to which February 16 was declared the Day of Unity in Ukraine. In a new video message, Zelenskyy noted that some people are sowing panic among Ukrainians and scaring off investors from the country noting that Russia will invade Ukraine on Wednesday. “They scare us with a big war and for the umpteenth time set the date for a military invasion. This is not the first time. We are systematically waging war on all fronts.
Countries globally are now providing aid to Ukraine.
Canada will provide Ukraine with a $500 million loan and $7.8 million worth of lethal weapons, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.
He said the loan is in addition to the previously announced $120 million loan and non-lethal weapons that Canada has already provided to Ukraine.
Ukraine has already received weapons from the United States, Great Britain, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Poland.
UNDP
The media outlet close to the Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev administration demands the expulsion from Baku of the newly appointed UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, Ekaterina Paniklova, because of her contacts with Armenians.
ARTSAKH PRESIDENT
The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has announced that it intends to "catch" and "bring to account" President Arayik Harutyunyan of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).
"Arayik Harutyunyan, the leader of the so-called 'Nagorno-Karabakh,' will be arrested and interrogated in the near future," said Nemat Avazov, head of the investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani media reported.
ARTSAKH
The parliamentary forces of Artsakh propose to give legal status to the territories occupied in Nagorno-Karabakh following the military aggression carried out by Azerbaijan in September 2020.
