6:42Now PlayingProtesters gathered on New York City’s Upper West Side to voice their opposition to Mayor Zohran Mamdani, with the crowd chanting “Mamdani has to go” and “USA” during an “End Jew Hatred” demonstration.
NEWSMAX correspondent Andrew Craft reports live from the rally, where organizers said they expected between 400 and 500 people to attend. Demonstrators expressed concern about Mamdani’s policies toward New York’s Jewish community following a stabbing attack near Central Park and renewed controversy surrounding the mayor’s past promise to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Mamdani recently acknowledged that he does not have the legal authority to arrest Netanyahu when the Israeli leader visits New York for the United Nations General Assembly. The United States is not a member of the treaty that established the International Criminal Court.
