As recently as Thursday, both Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and President Joe Biden refused to politicize the storm. But even as the search for bodies continues on Pine Island, Florida, gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist is alleging DeSantis delayed critical relief and supply efforts for a photo op.
CNN and others also took DeSantis to task for "late" evacuation warnings, citing forecasts from before the hurricane which predicted major storms but didn’t prompt a significant response.
