NBA star Kyrie Irving drew criticism this week when he tweeted a link to a film that espouses antisemitic views and later defended his decision in a news conference. Groups staged a protest at a game following the remarks, and there have been calls for Irving to be released. Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, was dropped by business partners after he made antisemitic comments. Both claimed they have the right to free speech and were speaking truth. But the First Amendment does not protect Irving or West from consequences of their speech, host Chris Cuomo says.
