5:24Now PlayingTaylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras World Tour is set to kick of Friday in Arizona — but for thousands of fans, getting their hands on tickets has been a real nightmare. When they first went on sale, “Swifties” had to pre-register before scheduled pre-sales, but many were left with nothing. Ticketmaster planned to open up sales to those who had been verified fans, but the company’s website crashed after millions of people, and also bots, tried to use it. While 2 million tickets were ultimately sold during the pre-sale, the general public sale of tickets was axed.
Now, TicketMaster is being sued. One of the plaintiffs, Joe Akmakjian, joined NewsNation Live to talk about why he took part in this lawsuit.
