6:10Now PlayingYears after it was outlawed, Idaho could bring back the firing squad for inmates on death row. However, lawmakers looking to pass a bill restoring firing squads are only trying to make it a back-up option in case lethal injection drugs cannot be obtained.
Juandalynn Taylor, visiting assistant professor and fellow at Gonzaga University Law School, said on "NewsNation Live" that while Corrections Departments are treating a lack of lethal injection drugs as a new problem, it's actually been something that has been happening for a while as these medicines expire.
European and U.S. manufacturers of these kinds of drugs, Taylor explained, have said for a while that they do not want a part in the taking of someone's life.
