4:14Now PlayingFor the first time ever, a professional men’s soccer team is displaying the suicide hotline number on their uniforms. The Sacramento Republic FC soccer team started wearing patches with “988” on them this season. Scott Moak, Republic FC’s vice president of community investment, said the team felt it was important to do something “bigger than ourselves.”
“Whatever city we’re playing in … that 988, those three numbers are still the ones to call if you need a little bit of help,” Moak said.
