In a news conference, police said the man in custody, 38-year-old Nima Momeni, knew Lee. Joe Eskenazi, managing editor of Mission Local, reports that the motive for the attack has to do with “interpersonal strife of the sort that people have fought and killed each other over since before biblical times.”
