Documents released Thursday reveal new details about Kouri Richins, the Utah author accused of killing her husband by lacing his drink with fentanyl. Summit County attorneys said Richins applied for at least four life insurance policies for her husband dating back to 2015, and she was several hundred thousand dollars in both federal and personal debt. Richins also made several contacts who helped connect her to drugs, according to phone records.
