5:21Now PlayingOver the summer, a school board in Chino Valley, California, took the position that parents should know if their child decides to switch genders, and some people in Sacramento weren’t happy about it. They passed a policy that requires teachers and staff to notify parents within three days if their child declares a new gender identity. The State of California is now suing to reverse the move, with Attorney General Rob Bonta calling it a “forced outing policy.” Sonja Shaw, president of the Chino Valley Unified School District Board, said Bonta is “flexing his political muscle to keep parents out of their child’s life.”
