Trump has denied wrongdoing and argued the prosecution violated a plethora of legal norms. His lawyers have said they plan to appeal. Former federal prosecutor Joseph Moreno called the case a “lawsuit in search of a victim,” while NewsNation legal contributor Jesse Weber said the ruling is “incredibly significant.”
