22:29Now PlayingFor nearly a generation, Pat and BJ Magley's Heroes Camp has provided an athletic outlet, a hot meal, and positive father figures to help at-risk boys find hope, faith, and a brighter future.
Working five days a week in Mishawaka, one of Indiana's toughest neighborhoods, the Magleys' faith-based nonprofit has helped an estimated 100,000 youth over the past 35 years. Some earned sports scholarships, while plenty of others found careers in business or other fields.
Others returned to be volunteers and father figures to youth who are new to the programs. The Magleys say the secret is giving them a positive representation of men and God, and hiring staff that are strong father figures.
