Asked about this at a congressional hearing Wednesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray stressed the agency needs to be independent as it does its work. "I think the structure that we've had for decades now makes sense," Wray said, though added he has not yet reviewed Project 2025 and is not familiar with its details.
