On this episode of "One Nation Under God," Adrienne Bankert sits down with the Rev. Leo Patalinghug to discuss how Sen. JD Vance’s faith would play a role if he were elected. Vance was raised in a Protestant household, but many Christians he grew up with didn’t attend church regularly. After the death of his grandmother, Vance became an atheist but explored his identity throughout college and the military. Eventually, the Republican vice presidential nominee became a devout Roman Catholic. Patalinghug says Vance can be an intellectual powerhouse for the country while authentically representing the church.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, vice presidential candidate JD Vance will join NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo for a town hall in the battleground state of Michigan. Tune in at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT). To find out how to watch, visit JoinNN.com.
