5:17Now PlayingNicole Montanez was forced to flee her home and business in the Pacific Palisades because of a wildfire that continues to spread. She says a lot of people were finding it difficult to find safe areas to go to because of unpredictable winds. "I remember just thinking about just getting my son and my dog out and our friends and family and doing what I can," Montanez says. For now, Montanez is choosing to stay away from the area to allow first responders to do their job without her and others getting in the way trying to return.
