13:49Now PlayingThis week on “Missing,” Marni Hughes looks into the disappearance of Ashley Summers, a teen from Cleveland who vanished in the summer of 2007, weeks before her 14th birthday. This summer marks 18 years since she vanished.
Before she went missing, Ashley was constantly being moved between two relatives’ houses. It was days before anyone realized the teen was even gone. But as fast as her family put up missing flyers, mysteriously, someone was taking them down. Her disappearance prompted investigators to look at the possible connection between Ashley and two women kidnapped in the area and confined in what became known as Cleveland's "house of horrors." All this comes as a relative of Ashley’s was convicted of sex crimes against a minor and is now serving a 35-year prison sentence.
Eighteen years since Ashley’s disappearance, her family joins NewsNation to speak about the latest developments in her case.
