The elder Sinise, known for his advocacy efforts for veterans, has only recently begun sharing the story of his son’s inspirational battle and efforts to finish a music composition before he passed away. “Telling his story and talking about him and sharing the music with people is a wonderful gift,” Gary Sinise tells NewsNation’s Natasha Zouves. His advice to people who have suffered the loss of a loved one: “Just persevere in their honor. Move on and forge ahead in their honor and memory.”
