Chicago will have crime issues as long as red states have gun issues: Chicago Mayor

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says Republican-led states are to blame for gun crime in Chicago. “Chicago police have taken over 24,000 illegal guns since I’ve taken office,” Johnson said. “But a vast majority of these guns don’t come from Chicago; they come from red states. Chicago will continue to have a crime problem, as long as red states have a gun problem.”
