The Cessna C550 crashed on the tarmac of the Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina around 10:20am ET while attempting to land on the tarmac. NewsNation affiliate WJZY has confirmed that the plane was owned by Biffle’s family and there are “multiple fatalities,” but it remains unclear if Biffle was onboard at the time of the crash.
