Amy Sussman’s nephew was killed in the 2023 Lewiston, Maine, shooting that claimed the lives of 18 people. Fundraisers were opened to provide survivors and families of the victims with financial support, but Sussman says money from these funds went to 29 nonprofits. “To be told 100% of the fund was going to you and to later find out almost two million dollars went to nonprofits … it’s extremely revictimizing,” she tells “NewsNation Prime.”
