Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wants to reshape hiring rules to move U.S. citizens to the front of the line and freeze new H-1B skilled-worker visas for one year, unless they're given direct approval from a state agency. State Rep. Ann Johnson, a Democrat, called the move "nothing more than a political stunt" and told “Morning in America” it will ultimately hurt the state.
