Prosecutors say Brittany Fortinberry, a substitute teacher and mother, was living a secret double life that crossed every imaginable boundary.
According to court documents, investigators allege she engaged in sexual acts with multiple students. One teenage boy told authorities he ended contact after learning she was involved with other minors.
Prosecutors also point to a chilling detail, claiming the teens were made to wear Scream masks during the encounters. Fortinberry now faces 47 felony charges. Her husband is accused of threatening one of the alleged victims and a civil lawsuit claims the school district ignored warning signs that could have prevented what prosecutors say went on for far too long.
