Conservative backlash to the NFL’s choice of the Puerto Rican superstar led to an alternative halftime show from Turning Point USA, headlined by Kid Rock. That show reached more than 20 million viewers who watched it either live or in the following day. Those numbers haven’t been seen for an alternative halftime show since Fox broadcast a special edition of “In Living Color” in 1992. So, did the TPUSA change Super Bowl halftime shows forever? Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, sat for a deposition before the House Oversight Committee Monday but invoked her Fifth Amendment protections against self-incrimination on each question. Monday also marked the first day where lawmakers would be able to view unredacted versions of the Epstein files.
