On April 17, 2025, a gunman opened fire on Florida State University’s campus, killing two people and injuring six others. Attorneys representing one of the victims’ families said they plan to sue ChatGPT for its potential role in planning the attack. “We have been advised that the shooter was in constant communication with ChatGPT leading up to the shooting,” attorneys wrote.
