18:48Now PlayingThis week, our "Missing" series looks at the case of Cherrie Mahan, who disappeared over 40 years ago after getting off her school bus in 1985. When Cherrie never arrived home, her family and police launched a five-mile radius search around her house. Witnesses at the bus stop say they saw a van with a snow scene and skier on it. Despite people coming forward claiming to be Cherrie, the case has remained cold with little development or interest.
Now, private investigator Steve Ride is taking it on, offering a $100,000 reward for information on her disappearance. Cherrie's mother hopes to speak with a former prison inmate who contacted her claiming to have information on her daughter's disappearance. The two hope this former inmate will come forward and share what they know about Cherrie’s case and bring closure to a family desperate for answers after decades of waiting.
