5:20Now PlayingA shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego has left three adult victims and two suspects dead, officials said. The victims have not been identified, pending notification of their families.
All children and teachers from the associated school are safe, officials said, and a reunification center has been set up for families. Both suspects are in the attack are deceased, officials said.
Police received the initial call for an active shooter at 11:43 and arrived within four minutes. Within minutes, another call was received for active gunfire a few blocks away, with police responding to both calls at the same time. Officers observed three adults dead outside when they arrived. A landscaper who was working at the mosque was shot at but not hit.
