Van Dexter says he advocates for the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities to fulfill his responsibility to those who raised him. "I'm just grateful to be in a position where I'm able to give back and to essentially advocate for those that need it," he said. “My American Story: Celebrating 250 Years” honors the people, traditions and values that define our nation.
