46:07Now PlayingAs the conflict with Iran continues, Chris Cuomo argues Congress is failing its constitutional duty by refusing to check President Trump's war powers. He examines the human cost of the war, questions the administration's strategy, and asks who will be held accountable. Hours after four Republicans joined Democrats to pass a War Powers Resolution that would curb Trump’s ability to escalation the war, Cuomo asks if the Senate will put aside its parties and find a way to end this war. Maryland Democratic Congressman Johnny Olszewski and retired Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, former deputy assistant secretary for Mideast policy, discuss.
This week, a Black man armed with a knife was restrained by a group of white officers and shot by one of them in Madison, Wisconsin. Unlike police departments in most of Wisconsin, Madison officers do not wear body cameras. Cellphone footage of the shooting has spread rapidly across social media and protests broke out immediately. Is part of the outrage also a response to the recent killings we've seen involving ICE agents? Donnel Harvin, former chief of Homeland Security for Washington, D.C., and Stuart Kaplan, former FBI special agent, examine the incident.
A jury was finally seated in the trial of Lindsay Clancy. She’s the Massachusetts mother who strangled her three young children to death with elastic exercise bands in 2023. Clancy then tried to kill herself by jumping out a window and ultimately paralyzing herself. Clancy has admitted to the murders, but her lawyers plan to argue she was suffering from postpartum psychosis. A few of the original jurors chosen said they had to drop out due to the gruesome nature of the crime. Will the remaining jurors be able to stomach what they're going to be forced to view? Defense attorney and former prosecutor Mark Eiglarsh examines the defense.
One woman who knows exactly what Clancy was allegedly going through is Aaisha Alvi. She also suffered from postpartum psychosis and heard voices telling her to kill her daughter. Like Lindsay Clancy, Alvi went to doctors for help, but was misdiagnosed and prescribed the wrong medication. Author of "A Mom Like That: A Memoir of Postpartum Psychosis," Alvi joins “CUOMO” to share her story.
