He Knew NOTHING About His Own History

He by telling me I don't know 'jack shit' about his people's history. He told me to educate myself four times in the first three minutes. Then I started asking questions.

Where does the name Palestine come from? He said go educate yourself. I told him: Roman Emperor Hadrian renamed the province of Judea to Syria Palaestina in the second century, named after the

Philistines, who were Greek merchants. He had nothing to say.

What did Arabs in the region call their homeland in 1919? He didn't know. The King Crane Commission found that 84% of Arabs in the region called for a unified Balad, Greater Syria. Not Palestine.

Why was the PLO founded in 1964 if the occupation only started in 1967? No answer.

Where does the word Nablus come from? He didn't know. I was in Nablus. I was there last month. It comes from the Greek Neapolis, new city.

He's Palestinian and hadn't been back since 2019.

Jerusalem isn't even in Palestinian Authority territories. It's governed under Israeli jurisdiction. He acknowledged that. He also couldn't explain why Arabs in 1919 called the region Balad instead of

Palestine, or why Jerusalem has always appeared in historical documents under its Hebrew name while Al-Quds appears nowhere in ancient records.

He claimed to know significantly more than me. By the end, 'go educate yourself' was the only answer he had.
