On her august 30th episode of her podcast with Maria Carey, she sparked yet a couple more discussions on race and texturism. During this episode of her podcast, she said she had not been treated like a black woman until she started dating her now husband Prince Harry. She also indicated that she and the «Obsessed« singer Maria Carey bond over their hair texture or natural hair. But today is not the day we will drag Meghan´s race onto the de3bate flour and so we will stick only to one topic´. That is her hair talk. After Meghan’s podcast, just like most things she does, blocks picked it up and it became another debate we have to dissect. It would have been just another day on the blocks which I will read and move on with my ourselves, we should refer to what natural hair implies. It doesn’t even help that a google search for natural hair leads us straight to kinky hair. But then, natural hair as we saw earlier is hair that hasn't been altered by chemical straighteners, including relaxers and texturizers. Which implies that no matter your hair type, texture, if its natural state has not been altered by texturizers and relaxers and returns to its unaltered state even after a flat iron when washed is considered natural hair. Hence, we can say Maria Carey and Meghan Markle even if they no longer have natural hair now, most definitely had it as some point growing up. And as to whether they had hair struggles, we have seen from the analysis of all the hair types that no matter your hair type, texture, or volume, ourselves, we should refer to what natural hair implies. Following Meghan´s podcast, Maria Carey and Meghan had valid issues with unfamiliar hairs using a lot of grease on their hair. From the above we can kind of see how that would have had an adverse effect on their hair. Because the less curly hair is, the easier oils leave the scalp to the ends.
