It shows definitively that Comey violated FBI policy. This means the entire start of a special counsel was because the former FBI leader broke policy. This alone is unforgivable.
But more than that; my reading of this report shows Comey broke at least three laws regarding these memos.
1. He gave classified and FBI only material to outsiders with the expressed intent of it being released to the media.
2. He did not hand this material over to the FBI when they requested all of their material back from Comey, and in fact withheld the fact he was keeping this material for himself.
3. He lied to Congress when they asked him what material he gave to people and who were those people by saying only one memo to one person, when in reality he gave 4 memos to three people.
The IG claims he reffered thos to Trumps DOJ, but the Attorney General Barr has declined to prosecute.
Now even Comey is tweeting bragging this morning.
I have no faith left that Barr will ever allow justice to be served, as if he is unwilling to prosecute these crimes there is no reason he will hold anyone in the intel community to account for any of their crimes.
