Haiduk passed her love of tradition to her kids. Her eldest son, Taras, was a tour guide, showing off regional culture to people from around the world. He was killed in the Ukrainian army, just one month after the war began. Before his death, he was working on making a website for Haiduk, to help her sell her Vyshyvankas, she says, but never got to finish it.
Now, Haiduk continues her embroidery hoping to keep alive the memory of both her son and her country.
