YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

A herd of desert bighorn sheep was airlifted off the Texas mountain where they were raised and moved north to their “historic range” as part of a conservation effort by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

The relocation of the herd is part of a larger effort to move the endangered species of mountain sheep to habitats free of Barbary sheep, a non-native mountain sheep that spreads disease and has hampered population regrowth efforts, according to a local news report.
