as posted by the channelA Tesla Cybertruck exploded and caught fire outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day, killing the driver and injuring 7 people nearby.
Footage released by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) shows gasoline, canisters and large firework mortars in the trunk of the truck. According to LVMPD, the Cybertruck was rented in Colorado and arrived in Las Vegas around 7:30 am. It was driven up and down Las Vegas Boulevard for about an hour, before it pulled into the valet area of the Trump Hotel, where it exploded.
Authorities have confirmed who rented the truck and were able to trace its path thanks to Tesla chargers, but didn’t confirm the identity of the driver as the investigation continued.
