He was moved by the way Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, forgave the shooter at his memorial, calling it "one of the most one of the most powerful, most Christian moments I had ever experienced." Cox spoke with Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep about why he is comfortable bringing his faith into politics, but less comfortable with the way "politics is replacing religion."
