Tech startups have begun offering short simulated videos of deceased relatives. The companies creating these videos say all they need is a few pictures, short voice samples and a script to animate a video that looks and sounds like the departed.
Experts say there are ethical, psychological and legal issues to unpack, but customers say they're comforted by the prospect of again seeing the people they lost, however virtual that may be.
