YouTube Description
as posted by the channelHere, we have trees that sway and bend with the wind, leaves that fall from the trees, blow in the wind, and pile up on the ground or in corners. But this isnt just a pretty animation Its a fully interactive simulation. You can interact with aspects of it: the trees, the branches, the leaves, the wind, all of it. You can even break the trees, and interact with the individual branches, and its all created by the artist. You dont need to have a programmer piece together a bunch of rigid bodies and joints, and hook them up to some artist created meshes and textures, and program a bunch of forces vectors.
Weve been working very closely with IDV the SpeedTree people and, in fact, everything that you see here, including all the dynamics, is created using the SpeedTree authoring pipeline.
