Meet OceanXplorer, a "floating oceanographic institution" that has been designed to go places, see things, and answer questions that no one has been able to... until now

After two years of construction with 500 people working around the clock, when she leaves dry dock this spring OceanXplorer will be capable of carrying 72 people, multiple submersibles, ROVs, AUVs, support tenders, and a helicopter, to rough seas and remote areas for science and filmmaking that has never been possible in human history. We'll share everything we find thanks to the cutting-edge filmmaking equipment (e.g. ROVs equipped with cameras and lights able to work at 6,500 m depth (21,000 ft) and a custom, on-board editing suite.

Much more information on OceanXplorer's capabilities and schedule to be shared in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned.
