Baited Remote Underwater Videos (BRUVs) are deployed strategically just long enough to show who lives nearby, how many, and how big they are, and often capture behaviors that would go unseen otherwise. Here’s how marine biologists used BRUVs to explore the reef ecosystems of the northern Red Sea, including viewing the big predators who live there, and capturing some incredible footage along the way.
