Known for being very, very shy, they live in shallow waters in the western Pacific, where they graze in meadows made of delicate and easily disturbed sea grasses. Dugongs are considered a vulnerable species. Aboard the OceanXplorer in the Red Sea, this Bahraini scientist is playing underwater detective to figure out how and where the dugongs are feeding so we can protect this critical habitat.
