If the Meg Were Alive, Could it be Found and Filmed with BRUVS?

The megalodon was the largest shark to have ever lived and has been extinct for quite some time. Many people online though wonder if it could be out in the depths hiding somewhere. If it were hiding, how would researchers go about finding it?

BRUVS (baited remote underwater video systems) would be the safest way of luring out a giant shark. When OceanX has deployed BRUVS on past missions, we've always had an abundance of ocean life swarm the area, from moray eels, to schools of fish, and even large sharks. BRUVS are a great way of seeing what animals frequent an area, and bringing specific creatures up close to a camera for scientists to study their behaviors.

Sadly though, Jason Statham and his CGI meg will be the only megalodon we will ever see.
