as posted by the channelOceanX has been busy with our immersive, educational programs onboard OceanXplorer.
In collaboration with the Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean (@POGO_Ocean), we welcomed aboard 12 Early Career Explorers in Cabo Verde to help expand their knowledge of ocean exploration methods and strengthen their advocacy skills for ocean conservation. This transit also marked the end of our Around Africa Expedition with OceanQuest. Endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade, we’ve mapped and conducted visual surveys on multiple seamount systems, while also gathering data on key ocean currents during this expedition.
When we reached Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 12 participants of our Young Explorers Program joined us on OceanXplorer, learning about lab research, media production, video game design, and ship safety.
OceanXplorer is now headed to the Netherlands for upkeep and maintenance. Keep an eye on our feeds for more updates.
