Leading the fight against the “Death Tax” in the Senate is Sen. John R. Thune (R.-S.D), and his legislation is called the “Thune Bill.” It has already passed the House, where was championed by Rep. Kevin Brady (R.-Texas), who later succeeded Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R.-Wis.) as the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.
