The court will allow civilian clothing at hearings, but restraints stay in place given the severity of the charges. The judge also amended the decorum order to block any visual recording of the defendant’s restraints or of him entering and exiting the courtroom. In a separate development, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry urged LSU to be the first campus to erect a Charlie Kirk statue, framing it as a stand for free speech on campus.
