1:57Now PlayingA Utah judge has ruled that Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating political activist Charlie Kirk, will stand trial on all charges, including aggravated murder, making him eligible for the death penalty if convicted.
Prosecutors argued they have overwhelming evidence against Robinson. The judge emphasized that Robinson remains presumed innocent and that Tuesday’s ruling does not determine guilt or the ultimate weight of the evidence.
Robinson has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, causing serious bodily injury and witness tampering. His next court date is scheduled for October.
