as posted by the channel

Only twelve days into his presidency, Donald Trump has announced executive orders and appointments at a rip-roaring pace, sparking protests, potential trade wars, and outrage from some, while others feel vindicated he's living up to his campaign promises.

But others, including critics, argue that Trump’s election represents the will of the American people, who--hungry for change--repudiated the status quo. In their view, we must find areas of common ground to work together, because obstructionism would only deepen the political divide, and a paralyzed government would benefit no one.

Tonight we debate the motion Give Trump A Chance()

Arguing in favor of the motion are Clive Crook, columnist for Bloomberg View and former senior editor at The Atlantic, and Gayle Trotter, political analyst, columnist, and attorney who most recently appeared on Fox News Channel's The Kelly File .

Opposing them: David Frum, senior editor at The Atlantic and former speech writer for President George W. Bush, joins Michael Waldman, president of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, a nonpartisan law and policy institute.
